If you have spotted my sidebar recently, you may have noticed that I have been taking part in
Marie Greene's Sock along.
My first test sock was knitted on needles that were much too large, but considering that, I'm thrilled with how they turned out. The great thing about this pattern is that it makes sense, it's not just following a sock pattern, but learning to make socks. I plan to use up some of my wool stash using this pattern (although the temptation to go out and buy new sock yarn, is almost overwhelming (oooo all those lovely self-striping yarns, how can I resist)
Great work Joanne! Don't blame you being tempted it's almost rude not to buy the new wools.......isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteoooooooo very cleverly done. I look forward to seeing more :0)
ReplyDeleteI too look forward to seeing another 1 lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled that you are an official sock knitter now. Excellent work, and thank you so much for your help with test knitting! I look forward to seeing many more socks Made By Joanne. :o)
ReplyDeleteOh that's far to clever for me. I'd have difficulties in knitting a scarf. Are you going to make a matching pair or do lots of different singles for those odd days of the week?
