inchie masterboard technique
On the Gingersnap blog there is a turtorial for a really easy inchie masterboard technique.
Here's my version
I stamped A4 white card all over with stamps from PaperArtsy
I inked this in stripes with distress inks (which I spritsed with water to blend a little)
I cut the card into strips and then used an inchie punch to make the squares. To complete the card I added words, a starfish punched shape and some black raffia.

little hats
I was really pleased to see that Innocent Smoothies and Sainsbury's are teaming up again to raise funds for Help the Aged. In these difficult financial times it's encouraging to see that companies can still think of others.
But someone has to knit the little hats, so here are my first few. They've said that they don't have to have bobbles this year, so I decided to add buttons to mine. I love making these they are so quick, use up tiny leftovers of wool and you get the lovely feeling you get when you are doing someting selfless.
I encourage you to make a few, the link for more info is in my sidebar.

forever friends: black, white and another colour
At the forever friends blog this week, we challenge you to use black white and another colour. I chose this deep red (which is a coredinations card, so I ripped it to show the core colour as well, is that cheating?)
I was going to stamp a message at the bottom of this card, but I haven't decided what I'm going to use it for yet.

happy "eye-surgery"!!
you can't find cards for that from Hallmark (or maybe you can, I don't honestly know)
Anyway, my friend is having laser treatment tomorrow, and although I know it's now really commonplace, I think she is exceptionally brave.
My friend is Not A Crafting Person (yes it deserves capitals) but she has a bit of a thing for basic grey papers. Also note the bubble stickers, they reminded me of contact lenses, which she won't need anymore, and the tiny text? well hopefully she should be able to read that alot easier too!!
All stamps are by PaperArtsy
I am entering this for the "open" theme on wednesday stamper (let's face it, it wouldn't fit any other theme!!)
... I was saturday surprise has a "parts of the body" theme...how perfect is that!

bird card which was meant to be a tag.
I originally started making this for the tag it on challenge which is "up, up and away", but somewhere along the way I forgot that was making a tag and it turned into a card. The stamp is from The Artistic Stamper. The background is done using the technique Jo showed in this month's craft stamper. I have used real dried flowers on this card so I have attached it to the back of the acetate with eyelets to protect them.
I am also sending this in for the current Art Raffle theme.
Don't forget it's Day three of PaperArtsy's 12 day of christmas with lots of samples and a giveaway, don't miss out!

Stampsmith month on Gingersnap Creations
This month The Stampsmith are teaming up with Gingersnap Creations to bring you a series of challenges where you can win Stampsmith products.
I have the enormous honour of being on both The Stampsmith and Gingersnap Design teams, so here is the piece that I made for the first of these challenges with the theme "movie stars" using an image from the Stampsmith's "kiss me you fool" plate.
