I love advent calendars. When I was a child one of my favourite things was looking for the date. I like it when it's a little bit of a challenge. I also loved chocolate advent calendars. This is my take on the chocolate advent calendar.
My favourite thing about this is that you have to root around in the basket looking for the right number.
I took 24 small bars of chocolate (these are kinder and I got them from the pound shop) and made wraps from PaperArtsy's Rum and Raisin papers, stamped with various stamps from my rather extensive selection of PaperArtsy Christmas stamps. This is a great excuse to get all your Christmas stamps out and just play before the serious business of the bulk Christmas card making.

ReplyDeleteThis is a brilliant idea and I love how you wrapped up these yummy treats! Not sure if I would have been disciplined enough as a child to only open one day at a time! Not sure about that as an adult!

ReplyDeleteOh yeah, stamping and chocolate - two of my favorite things! Love the artsy wrappers, a treat in themselves. Sooooo, what happens when it's December 12th and all the chocolates are gone, ROFL?? Just kidding, love this idea!

I really love this idea. I've never had the energy to make any kind of advent calendar, but this seems simple enough. I love the paper! I think a lot of numbers might go missing early though....
