a bit of cute never hurt anyone

I like to try my hand at everything, and if that means indulging in a bit of cute every know and again, then so be it.
I had to have one of these new forever friends stamps as the forever friends reminds me of the days when my husband used to buy me cards, "just because" ahhh those days are long gone.....It's strictly cards for occasions now!
He even bought me a forever friends teddy bear which I still treasure.

......anyway enough reminiscing.

I have to admit, the stamp stamps beautifully, and I think it's a useful image for "real cards"
I have coloured the image with derwent colour soft pencils and blended with sansodor.

I echoed the daisies by adding some punched daisies and for that reason I am entering it for the "repetition" theme at One Powerful Hour

  1. Very sweet!! You're absolutely right - a drop of reality/making real cards never hurt anyone - versatility is a great core skill. Have a great weekend x

  2. Well shaded. The raggy edges look great with this style.

  3. I like your "cute" card...and what is up with husbands that don't give out anytime cards...I have one of those sad...

    thanks for taking the challenge!

  4. awwwww - that is cute adn you're right - a bit of cute does no harm at all.

  5. Nothing wrong with a bit of cute - I love the way youve made this, especially with the torn edges.

  6. Beautiful card - and really such a lovely image which can be used for so many different occasions !!

  7. I agree this is cute, but in a very grown-up way. Love the distressed edges and the punched daisies :D

  8. Teddy bears are available in hundreds of shapes and sizes, but for sweetness and soul, there's nothing like a homemade bear. Basic teddies are actually surprisingly easy to make, but you're free to put as little or as much effort in as you want. If you spend a long time on it, you can make a teddy to rival anything created by the big teddy manufacturers. adorable teddy bear names
